The Livermore Homeless Refuge (LHR) was created to provide a warm, safe, clean environment for the homeless to stay overnight in the winter on nights that are rainy or below 45 degrees. The Refuge rotates among 3 churches, and Asbury UMC provides a building on its rotation weeks.
It currently partners with faith-based communities to offer temporary shelter. LHR does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or religion. LHR’s current funding comes from individuals, faith-based communities, and the general public. At this time LHR does not receive funding from local, county, state or federal government sources. The Refuge serves residents of Livermore, Pleasanton, and Dublin. Please consult with your local community resources to find social services in your area.
