Circles: Poverty Reduction Strategy

On Thursday February 19, members of Asbury, five other area churches, local social service agencies, and staff members from Congressman Swalwell’s office, gathered in our fireside room to learn more about Circles. Circles is a community based, national program designed to reduce poverty.
We at Asbury are committed to addressing hunger and homelessness in our community. And we live with nagging questions: how can we do more than respond in mercy to the immediate needs? How can those who are able move beyond poverty?
We are actively exploring the Circles approach. Stay tuned! And if you are interested in learning more now, see Pastors Kim or Chelsea; Steve Elliott; Teri Lambert; or Terri Gamble.
