Christmas Carolers ROCK!

On December 22, from 4 – 6 PM, forty nine (49!) adults, kids and youth split into 3 groups and visited 16 different homes / senior residences, singing Christmas songs. They were equipped with caroling books, jingle bells and cookies (to deliver, not for the singers to eat!)  These fine performers were tempted to stay at a couple locations by some mighty good-looking food, but they stuck to their schedule!  Everyone ended up at Heritage Estates, Building 900, to form a mass choir.  They sang to a captive audience of residents eating their dinner.  The listeners couldn’t really run away, but they didn’t seem to want to, applauding wildly after each tune.  This group could SING!

These performers can rock a Christmas carol.

The minstrels returned to Fellowship Hall to find pizzas baked to perfection by master pizza chef, Dave Braun.  There were cookies too, that the singers could finally eat!  A special thank you to the 3 fearless group captains:  Ruth Hawley, Alan Burnham and Jean Braun.  Because of these superb leaders, groups remained intact, appropriate singing keys were provided and the world became a more harmonious place!

Thank you to EVERYONE who participated.  It was truly appreciated by the listeners.
