Close the Gap January Appeal

We want to thank everyone for a very successful campaign to fund the new office building.  A total of $964,160 was pledged.

Thank you to each of you who have returned your 2020 General Fund pledge. This is a reflection of your faith and it makes possible every ministry of the church. We want to alert you to a $67,000 shortfall in the 2020 General Fund giving that pays for all that makes our mission and ministry possible—insurance, utilities, staff salaries, programs, mission support, supplies, materials, maintenance of our campus… The Finance Committee is looking at ways to reduce expenses, but such reductions tend to involve undesirable options like postponing maintenance and reducing program, mission support and/or staff.

We will be launching a brief stewardship appeal, “Close the Gap,” in January. What are some ways in which we might close the gap?

We currently have 129 individuals, couples or families that pledge to Asbury. If every pledge group gave another $520 ($10 each week) we would close the gap. We know some have committed all they can and we thank you! Others would be able to commit $520 or 2,3, 5 or 10 times that amount.

If you have not financially supported Asbury in the past, we invite you to consider doing so now. We ask all of you to prayerfully consider how you might support the work of God through the ministry of Asbury. Pledge cards will be made available in January so people can change their pledges or you may directly contact Gail Bryan, our Financial Secretary to change your annual pledge.  One time gifts are also welcome.

Thank you,

Art Molvik and Johnny Collins,
Stewardship Committee Co-chairs
