Livermore’s Holiday Village at Carnegie Park
Friday, December 3 from 4 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
There will be local makers and artists, food and beverage, entertainment, and SANTA! Asbury will have a booth with our Alternative Gift Giving Catalog, and also, an opportunity for community members to make a wish for the world and leave it on our blessing tree. We need a few folks to help with set-up, manning the booth, and take down. You can help with part or all of the evening. We also need people to help organize and prepare before the event. Please contact Martie Muldoon by email if you’d like to help with our booth for the Holiday Village! Participants will be wearing masks.

Livermore’s Holiday Sights and Sounds Parade
Saturday, December 4 p.m. at 6:00 p.m.
We will have a float with our famous Mary and Joseph puppets, and we need people to ride the float and/or walk along with the float. This is a great time to show our Asbury spirit! There are many options – dress in costumes (we can provide), or festive holiday clothes, or our Asbury t-shirts. Ride the float or walk, help move the puppets, sing along with pre-recorded Faith Choir song (“African Noel”), play drums or other instruments, carry our banner or other signs, etc. This is a multi-generational event, all are welcome to participate! If you would like to be part of our float, or have questions, please contact Martie Muldoon by email. We need lots of people, hope you can join us! Participants will be wearing masks.

Fireside Asbury Christmas Concert Watch Party
Sunday, December 5th at 7 p.m.
Join us in the sanctuary, wearing masks, to watch the pre-recorded Annual Asbury Christmas Concert on our tv screens. Following the viewing there will be fellowship and Christmas cookies in the fellowship hall/courtyard.

Christmas Caroling
Sunday, December 19th from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Join us in spreading Christmas cheer as we carol to our seniors and community of Livermore. We will gather on Sunday, December 19th at 3:30 pm at the Fellowship Hall at Asbury to warm up our voices before we head out. When we conclude at 6, we will have a simple dinner with Christmas games back at the church. Our Methodist heritage reminds us that God has given all of us voices for singing. This will be a wonderful time of fellowship and connecting with our community. Everyone is asked to wear a mask while singing and inside except when actually eating or drinking.

Prayerful Meditation Circle
Sundays at 8:15 a.m. in a Zoom Room
Do you enjoy a quiet moment on your own each morning? Would you like to make the Christmas season more meaningful? Join us Sunday mornings on an Advent journey. We will be using a small book ‘Pauses for Advent’ by Trevor Hudson. These are daily readings. Contact Jackie or Linda Culpepper for more information or the Zoom Room link.
