Partners for Change Tri-Valley Update

To the folks who supported the Christmas Offering:

We want to thank you all for your generous donations to Partners. It comes at a very important time for us. Initially we hoped COVID would be a bump in the road for Partners and that we would continue to operate with some minor modifications. As with many social service organizations, we have had to embrace major change.

What we have discovered is that the need for the Partner’s approach to poverty–to offer a hand up, is greater than ever. We have moved our weekly meetings and Change Leader support to virtual platforms. In addition to helping our Change Leaders and Allies build community online and address the issues of poverty, we have also helped our participants deal with the disruption in their personal lives due to COVID. Addressing depression and discouragement due to the Pandemic has been a major need. We also have had great successes such as helping one our Change Leaders achieve a year of sobriety and helping another find housing.

Funding is a major challenge. Due to the Pandemic, some of our fundraising events have been put on hold and some funding sources are not currently available. Your generous donation will help make a great difference to those trying to maintain and improve themselves even as the head winds of COVID push back on them.

Thank you for your continuing donations to Partners. We appreciate you all so much!

Sincerely,

Joe Clark
