Asbury Grill Team Returns!

The 2021 Livermore Rodeo Parade is being conducted virtually this year.  Asbury has been invited to participate once again with our famous Grill Team.

We will be entering a video of our marching routine in full grill team attire to the tune of “My Grill” played and sung by the Asbury Band.  This is a take off of the song “My Girl” by the Temptations:

“I like to cook out in my yard,
Steaks and chicken spread with lard.
My Grill . . . . .My Grill …….”

We will need 12 volunteers to march in the video. All are welcome to march. Space limitations require that we keep the group no larger than 12. We will supply the portable grills with straps to be carried by each marcher. Volunteers will need to furnish their own chef hat, apron, and grill utensils, like spatula and tongs.

Anyone interested in volunteering please RSVP to Dave David ASAP.

We will have an organization Zoom call next Saturday Morning, April 17 at 10:00 a.m. Dave will send you the link. Rehearsals will be Saturday morning April 24 and May 1 from 10:00 a.m. till 12:00 noon. Recording will be done on Saturday morning May 8 At 10:00 a.m.

All COVID protocols will be followed. Marchers 6’ apart with either double masks or N95 masks (available from the church office).

This should be fun to get Asbury’s famous Grill Team back out in the community!

Grill Sergeant
